The Ottawa Valley Islamic Centre (OVIC) was established in 2010 with the effort of a few members from the city of Pembroke, Petawawa and Deep River, Ontario.
Over the last several years, the community has steadily grown to provide a safe place of worship to the valley residents and visiting Muslims alike.
The OVIC now serves as center for members of all faith to come and learn about Islam and acquire authenticated facts about the religion. It also represents the Muslim community in multi-faith dialogues.
The OVIC also receives guest Islamic Scholars who have the studied Islam in classical Islamic institutions around the world and are trained to teach the tenets of this beautiful religion.
